What do Knights do? Council 12749 Past Grand Knight Sir Paul Tufo says it very succinctly: "We raise money and then we give it away! We pledge to assist our Pastor and the Parish of St. James & St. Leo in any way that we can."

What are the Knights? We are part of the largest Catholic male fraternal service organization in the world. For the year ending Dec. 31 2008, charitable contributions from the Knights reached $150,036,865. We volunteered 68,783,653 hours of SERVICE.

Council 12749 recurring activities:

Fish Feast - Each Friday during the Lenten season, a fish dinner is prepared and served by the Knights, assisted by a parish host organization.  The host organization receives the net proceeds of the dinner, to support that organizations goals.  This event has proven to be enormously popular with the St. James & St. Leo community, as evidenced by the sell out crowds.  In addition to raising funds for the hosting  parish organizations, the Fish Feast has been a terrific parish community builder, as attendees get to meet and know their fellow parishioners.

Community Breakfast - Eight Sundays a year, the Knights prepare and serve a pancake breakfast for parishioners.  Net proceeds from the breakfast are donated to various charitable organizations.

Spooky Knights - Late in October, the Knights start to howl and get spooky with an evening event for young people.

Charity Mania - Games of chance provide fun and raise money for various charitable causes.

Tootsie Roll Drive - Annual participation in State Council's program to raise money for mentally and physically challenged youth.

Coffee & Donuts - After the 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM Sunday Masses, Fair Trade Coffee and VG donuts are available on the Patio Of The Bells while meeting and greeting your fellow Knights & parishioners.
